The Mini Camera Drone is a compact folding quadcopter with an onboard camera, flown with its own handheld remote control, built for ages twelve and up. Folded, it is small enough to fit in one hand, and it opens out into a four-rotor frame before take-off.
Why this mini drone works for first flights
- The arms fold in against the body and unfold again for flight, so it packs down to roughly pocket size.
- A camera sits on the front of the drone for photo and video while it is airborne.
- Flight is controlled from a separate handheld remote that runs on its own batteries, not a phone app.
- The drone's own flight battery is a built-in rechargeable 3.7V, 500mAh cell, charged before each flight.
- It does not include a screen - footage from the camera is not shown live on the remote itself.
