The Mini Car Set is five stubby die-cast cars on one card, for children of 3 and up. Each body is short and rounded and sits on four oversized wheels in a contrasting colour, so a school bus, an ambulance and three cars all end up about the same size as a matchbox.
Why this car set works for small hands
- The bodies are short and wide rather than long and thin, so a child can grip one in a fist and still see the wheels turning.
- Oversized wheels in pink, orange, red, yellow and blue — the colour of the wheels is the easiest way for a child to tell the cars apart.
- Five different vehicles, with a school bus and an ambulance among them, so there is more to the game than racing.
- Die-cast metal with plastic wheels and bumpers, so each car has weight but nothing on it flexes or folds.
- Nothing lights up, nothing plays a sound and there is no switch.
