The Remote Control Car is a small blue police car driven from a watch worn on the wrist, for children of three and up. Tilt the watch and the car moves; the box explains that the swing angle of the watch is what steers it. The car has a cartoon face on the bonnet.
Why this watch remote works for younger drivers
- The controller straps to the wrist like a watch, so there is no handset to put down and lose under the sofa.
- Steering is by tilt — the box says the car travels by changing the swing angle of the watch, so there is no joystick to learn first.
- Infrared control, printed on the box as Infrared Radio, with forward and backward both listed as working functions.
- The car is a single chunky moulded block with eyes printed on the windscreen and POLICE down the side, so there is no aerial or spoiler to snap off.
- The watch strap is ribbed plastic with a row of holes, so it pulls in to a small wrist.
