The Soft Bullet & Water Bead Gun is an AK47-shaped blaster for children of eight and over, and it switches between two kinds of ammunition — suction cup foam darts, or soft water beads fed from a bottle that mounts on the top. The body is printed in graffiti camouflage and a pair of goggles comes with it.
Why this blaster works for garden battles
- Two kinds of ammunition from one gun: suction cup foam darts that stick where they land, or soft water beads that burst on impact.
- The beads feed from a bottle that mounts on through its own connector, and the back of the box prints the loading method for each.
- Goggles are in the box, which is the one piece of kit these blasters usually make you buy on the side.
- It runs on a built-in battery, so there is no hatch of loose cells to lose.
- Moulded plastic body with a stock behind the grip and a handguard in front, so it is a two-handed toy and not a pistol.
- The box carries an 8+ grading and a choking hazard warning for small parts, so it is not a toy to hand to a toddler.
